Mrs. Mikkelson was born in Atlanta, Ga. on September 24, 1950 to the late James A. Hill and Betty Ann Fuqua Hill.

   Mrs. Mikkelson is survived by her husband; Eric Mikkelson of Blakely, 3 Daughters, Laura Anderson and husband Daryl of Leesburg, Ga., Elizabeth Holley of Leesburg, Ga. and Emily Mikkelson of Apalachicola, Fl.  1 Brother; Mark Hill of Blakely and 1 Sister; Jennifer Albright of Texas. 2 Grandsons ; Eric Holley and Dalton Holley of Leesburg.

Mrs. Warfield, 79, died Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pine Lawn Garden Cemetery. Rev. Jason Lowrey will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday night from 6-8 PM.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Chris Warfield, Jeremy Warfield, Aaaron Warfield, Larry Moses, Ray Broxson and Alex Knight

Mrs. Warfield was born April 4, 1931 to the late John Milton Osborn and Ruby Sims Osborn. She was a retired Security Guard of Ga. Pacific and a member of the Sowhatchee Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter: Cindy Mangum and husband Tommy of Blakely and a son Dewey Warfield of Panama City, Fl. 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Mrs. Slappy ,91, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her residence. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 10 AM in the chapel of Manry-Jorda-Hodges Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth County at 2:00PM . Rev. Fred Odom officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, one hour before funeral time.

Mrs. Slappy was born January 14, 1919 to the late Charlie Houston and Betty Thornhill Houston. She was a member of the Colomokee Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress at Editex Garment Factory.

Mrs. Slappy is survived by 1 daughter; Vivian Carney and husband Cecil of Rome, Ga; 5 Sons: Durell Slappy and wife Betty Jean of Dothan, Al; Steve Slappy and wife Linda of Blakely, Ga.; Brian Slappy and wife Peggy of Panama City, Fl.; Harmon Slappy and wife Erlinda of Hilo, Hawaii ; Harley Slappy and wife Adrian of Blakely, Ga. 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Mrs. Slappy was preceded in death by her husband Jackson Durell Slappy

   Mr. Shoemaker was born July 8, 1918 in Parsons, West Virginia, where he lived until 1941 when he moved to Ft. Eustice, Virginia to manage the Post Exchange. There he met and married Marion Rabon. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He came to Blakely, Ga. after the wars and became the first Game Warden of Early County. He later went to work for the local Ford Dealership, Felder & Son Motor Co.  He retired from there in 1980. He served as Commander of the American Legion Post # 11 and was a member of the Blakely Lion’s Club and served on the City Council for 9 years. He was also Scout Master of Troup # 91. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Blakely where he held many positions of trust including Treasurer, Board of Trustees and Sunday School Teacher.

   He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marion Rabon Shoemaker of Blakely, Ga.; a daughter, Sharyn S. Moore & husband Billy of Coleman, Ga.; 3 sons, Larry Shoemaker & wife Pat of Donalsonville, Ga., John Shoemaker & wife Annette of Brinson, Ga. and Richard Shoemaker & wife Kathy of Winterville, Ga. There are 6 Grandchildren: Brian Shoemaker & wife Natalie of Brisbane, Australia, Chad Shoemaker & wife LaKrecia of Lakeland, Fl., Sherri Shoemaker Moody & husband Bobby of Macon, Ga., Mikki Moore of Coleman, Ga., Sharyn Anne Shoemaker of Dacula, Ga. and Lisa Shoemaker of Atlanta, Ga. 4 Great Grandchildren also survive: Emma Shoemaker & Matthew Shoemaker of Brisbane, Australia and Colin Shoemaker & Kaitlyn Shoemaker of Lakeland, Fl.

Mrs. Sessions was born in Ozark, Al. to the late Albert Addison Clark and Cora Alvenia Lee Clark. She was a retired school teacher, teaching for The Hilton School, for 34 years in the Early County School System and for 7 years at  Southwest Georgia Academy. She was a graduate of Georgia Women’s College in Milledgeville,  Ga. and the University of Ga. in Athens. She was a member of the Hilton United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sessions is survived by a daughter; Elizabeth Ann Williams of Perry , Fl. 1 Granddaughter; Merri B. Huggins and Kelly of Cleveland, Ga.; 1 Grandson, Kenneth Sessions Williams and Jason Saginario of Tampa, Fl.; 1 Sister: Dorothy C. Weaver of Denison, Texas, 1 Niece, Peggy and Dan Mauldin of Alachua, Fl. 4 Great-Grandchildren: Meredith, Leah and Chelsea Huggins of Cleveland, Ga.; Adam Huggins of Fitzgerald, Ga.   Mrs. Sessions was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Standifer Sessions.

Mrs. Edna was so grateful to the many relatives and friends who were so good and kind to her through the years any time she was in need. She wishes to thank her faithful friends for their help and affection, her countless friends from church, and to acknowledge the kindness of her faithful doctor, Dr. Michael Clifford.

   Mr. Love was born August 7, 1922 in Ashford, AL to the late Charlie Arthur Moore and Della Watson Moore. He retired in 1993 as President of Colonial Baking Co. in Columbus, Ga. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

   His survivors include his wife, Emma Jaunita Moore Love of Opelika, Al., a sister, Effie L. Horne of Iron City, Ga. and nieces & Nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.

   Mrs. Nolan was born April 28, 1927 to the late Harold Bennett Surdam and Edith Fish Surdam Scales. She was a retired seamstress for Brew-Snieder Manufacturing C o. and a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Arlington, Ga.

Mrs. Nolan is survived by 2 Sons: Johnny Cherry and wife Annie of Blakely, Robert Cherry and wife Peggy of Blakely; 4 Daughters, Katie Farris of Blakely; Linda Padgett of Damascus, Ga.; Cathy Cherry of Quincy, Fl. and Dora Farris and husband Willie of Arlington, Ga. 21 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren also survive. Ms. Nolan was preceded in death by a daughter, Lillian Louise Nolan.

Mr. Harrell was born Oct. 9, 1947  in Blakely, Ga. to the late Lewis Daniel Harrell and Effie Ree Henderson Harrell. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and a retired self-employed car salesman. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis W. Harrell.

   He is survived by 2 sons, Shannon Harrell and Amanda of Arlington, Ga., Stacy Harrell and Angie of Thomasville, Ga. and by 1 daughter, Renee Williford and Jason of Dawson, Ga. He has 2 brothers: Gene Harrell and Wanda and Jerry Harrell  all of Arlington, Ga. and 3 sisters: Mary Hazel Sims and Harold Kelly of Coleman, Ga., Dianne Elizabeth Dempsey of Dothan, Al. and Stella Ree Beard and Danny of Montgomery, Al. He has 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Tommy Hall, Charles Bridges, Chas Bridges, Hamp Barfield, Charles English and LaDon McDowell.

Mr. Sanders was born   November 11, 1921 in Early Co. to the late Ocsar Sanders and Ludy McGlamory Sanders. He was a retired Salesman for Wynn’s Dept. store for 38 years. A member of First United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife; Majorie Naomi Houston Sanders

He is survived by 1 Daughter: Barbara S. Rodgers of Roanoke, Va. 2 Sons: Andy Sanders and wife Earline of Edison, Ga. and Jack Sanders of Blakely, Ga.  5 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren

   Mrs. Still was born February 27, 1938 in Early Co., Ga. to the late Cecil Lane and Merle Jordan Buckner. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Baptist Church in Blakely.

   Mrs. Still is survived by her husband; Clarence E. Still, 1 Daughter; Lisa S. Bruner and husband Tony of Blakely, 1 Son; Mike Still of Blakely; 1 Brother; Ric Hall and wife Kay of Blakely, 3 Grandchildren, Kelly Grillo and husband Andrew of Roswell, Ga, Grant Bruner of Blakely and Kimberly Still of Dothan, Al.; 1 Great Grandchild, Greyson Grillo of Roswell, Ga.
